It is a privilege to welcome you to St Lawrence School.

St Lawrence is a special school for children and young people aged 4–16. We are incredibly proud of our pupils and the unique strengths, interests and personalities they bring to our school community.

At St Lawrence, we believe that every pupil should feel safe, understood, valued and able to succeed. Our pupils have a wide range of needs, and our curriculum and approach recognise that there is no single pathway to success. We aim to provide learning that is meaningful, engaging and ambitious, supporting pupils to develop their communication, independence, confidence and skills for the future.

Positive relationships are at the heart of our school. We want pupils to enjoy coming to school, to feel a strong sense of belonging and to know that the adults around them understand and champion them. Alongside academic and personal development, we place great importance on wellbeing, self regulation and preparing our young people for life beyond school.

We also recognise how important strong partnerships with families and other professionals are. By working together, sharing knowledge and keeping the individual child at the centre of our decisions, we can achieve the best possible outcomes for our pupils.

St Lawrence is a warm and welcoming school, and we are proud of the strong sense of community that exists here. We have high expectations for ourselves and our pupils and are committed to providing high-quality education, experiences and opportunities that enable every child and young person to learn, develop and achieve.
